Where to get help

  • The Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline is free and confidential. It answers 24 hours a day at 1-800-306-6789.
  • Saskatchewan residents can get problem-gambling counselling free through the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and no doctor's referral is needed.
  • Prince Albert Grand Council Holistic Wellness Centre, in Prince Albert, provides First Nations treatment. Call toll free at 1-866-765-5305 or at 306-953-7285.
  • SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion is requested at any SIGA casino and lasts from 6 months to 5 years. The ban applies to every one of the nine Saskatchewan casinos, and a person can only enrol themselves.

Before a late night

The floor on Marquis Road runs 9 AM to 4 AM from Sunday to Wednesday. Thursday through Saturday, the doors stay open 24 hours. Late at night, with no closing time in sight, it is easy to lose track of the hour. Settle on a time to leave and a sum you are ready to spend before you walk in, then stick to both. Guests need to be at least 19, which matches the legal gambling age in Saskatchewan.

How the Night Gate desk works

Night Gate carries the collective signature of the Night Gate desk, which writes it. Pages have no personal bylines, and no author's name appears on the site.

All pictures here are generated images made with image-generation software, not photographs. Three were generated from real photographs of Northern Lights Casino and depict the real place. These are the gaming floor's purple table, fish and chips, and the casino front on a snowy night. The river, highway, RV lot and northern-lights street show no part of the casino. Nobody appears in any of them.

On October 5, 2026, the facts were checked against Northern Lights Casino's own pages, SIGA, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan and the Government of Saskatchewan. Each page shows that date. Every distance runs as a straight line between map coordinates, starting at the casino's map point, so the roads are longer. All of Saskatchewan stays on Central Standard Time, UTC-6, all year, and every hour on the site is Prince Albert local time.

The sky drawn at the top of the home page follows the clock in Prince Albert. It is decoration, not a forecast. Night Gate has no sign-ups, comment boxes or forms. Your colour theme is saved in the browser. Visits are counted cookie-free; an outside tally is told your network address and browser.
