More than 560 slot machines stand on the floor at Northern Lights Casino. Denominations run 1, 2, 5 and 25 cents, with $1 machines at the top of the range. Among them are SIGA-wide progressive slots: Smoke Signals, Rider Nation and PowerBucks. These titles are shared across SIGA casinos rather than belonging to Prince Albert. Prize amounts are not covered here.
Smokers have a separate room on the gaming floor. It has its own air-handling system. The casino does not list which machines stand inside it. A call to 306-764-4777 settles that before you set out.
Live tables and poker
Live table games run 6 PM to 2 AM, every night of the week. The published list has four games: Blackjack, a second Blackjack variant, Texas Hold'em and Crazy 4 Poker. Poker keeps a different clock. Monday through Friday, play goes 5 PM to 2 AM; Saturday and Sunday open at 3 PM, still ending at 2 AM.
The casino does not publish the number of tables, the minimums or any poker tournaments. The casino also leaves its holiday hours unpublished, so look at northernlightscasino.ca before travelling on a holiday.
Not on the list
Roulette, baccarat and craps do not appear on the casino's published table list. Bingo, keno and a sportsbook are not published by the casino either. Online, the legal gambling site in Saskatchewan is PlayNow.com, operated by SIGA and managed by Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan. Any legal online sports betting in the province runs through it, for players 19 and older. The Government of Saskatchewan calls competing online sites "illegal platforms".
